Taking Control – Choosing Good Clothing
Clothing Cover-ups Can Save Your Life
Make sure you cover up before you go out in the sun. One burn could make all the difference between life and death. Here are some tips to look for when picking out sun wear.
- Look for new technological advances in fabrics. New fabrics have come out to help protect your skin more than the good old fashioned natural fibers.
- Dark colors help keep the harmful rays out. Although many believe light colors are best in the sun because it keeps the body cool, dark colors don’t let the rays go through the fabric to the skin.
- Cover your skin with the fabric. Make sure you do not bare all when dressing up and going out. Long sleeves and pants tend to be the best weapon against rays.
- When picking out outfits, look for thick weaves. Basket and twill weave tend to work the best at blocking the sun.
If you wanna boast and not be toast, Cover your knees before swinging through the trees.
